Getting Started

Everything you need to set up and run your first cricket auction.

Create an Account

Go to /signup and create your organizer account. You will be the Tenant Owner — you have full control over your tournaments, teams, and players.

One account can manage multiple tournaments. You never need to create a new account per tournament.

Create a Tournament

From your dashboard, click New Tournament and fill in:

  • Name — the tournament display name
  • Logo — optional, shown on the auction console and public screen

After creating, open the tournament and go to Auction Setup to configure:

  • Auction date and time
  • Bid increment rules (by price band)
  • Minimum and maximum squad sizes per team

Add Teams

Inside your tournament, go to Teams and click Add Team. For each team you need:

  • Team name and optional short code (e.g. CSK)
  • Budget (purse) — how much each team can spend in the auction
  • Logo — optional image shown during bidding

To add many teams quickly, use Import Teams to upload a CSV file.

1

Prepare your CSV

Columns: name, code, purse. Headers in the first row.

2

Upload via Import Teams

Go to Teams → Import Teams → choose your file → set a global purse if not in the CSV → Import.

Add Players

Go to Players (global player pool, not per-tournament) and click Add Player. Fields:

  • Name
  • Role — Batsman, Bowler, All-Rounder, Wicket-Keeper
  • Photo — optional, displayed on the console during bidding

Then, inside your tournament, go to Tournament Players and add players to the pool with their base price for this tournament.

Run the Auction

When you're ready to start bidding:

1

Open the Auction Console

Go to your tournament → Auction → Start Session. The console opens in a new view.

2

Share the Viewer Link

Copy the public viewer link from the console and share it with teams and spectators. They can watch live without logging in.

3

Nominate a Player

Select a player from the pool and click Nominate. They go up for bid at their base price.

4

Place Bids

Teams bid in increasing increments. Click the team's bid button to place a bid on their behalf. The current highest bid is shown in real-time.

5

Sell or Return

Click Sold to finalize the sale to the highest bidder. Or return the player to the unsold pool to re-bid later.

Bid Increment Rules

Configure tiered increments so bids rise faster at higher prices. Example:

  • Up to ₹50,000 → increment ₹5,000
  • ₹50,001 – ₹2,00,000 → increment ₹10,000
  • Above ₹2,00,000 → increment ₹25,000

Set these rules in your tournament's Auction Setup before starting the session. The console enforces these increments — teams cannot underbid.

Squad Size Limits

In Auction Setup, you can set:

  • Minimum squad size — teams must buy at least this many players. The system reserves budget to complete the minimum squad, preventing teams from spending everything early.
  • Maximum squad size — teams cannot bid once they've reached this limit.

Leave both at 0 to disable squad size enforcement.

Public Viewer Screen

The public viewer is a read-only, real-time display of the current auction state. Share the link with:

  • Team managers watching remotely
  • A projector screen in the venue
  • Spectators following the auction

No login is needed to view. Choose between Classic and Scoreboard display templates from your tournament settings.

Auction Results

Once the auction session is complete, go to Results in your tournament to see:

  • All sold players with their final price and buying team
  • Each team's final squad and remaining budget
  • Unsold players list

The results page is also publicly shareable via its own link.

Import Players via CSV

Go to Players → Import Players. Your CSV should have these columns:

  • name — player name (required)
  • role — Batsman / Bowler / All-Rounder / Wicket-Keeper

After import, go to Tournament Players to add them to your tournament with base prices.

Import Teams via CSV

Go to Tournament → Teams → Import Teams. CSV columns:

  • name — team name (required)
  • code — 2–4 letter short code (optional)
  • purse — team budget in numbers (optional if you set a global purse)

Player Self-Registration

Instead of adding players manually, share a public registration link with players. They submit their own name, role, and photo. You then approve and add them to the tournament player pool with a base price.

Find the registration link in your tournament settings under Player Registration.
